What is your question?
I was told tuneup varied from car to car. My mechanic suggested I google what my beetle would need for a tuneup.

Most car's don't require a "tune-up" in the old fashioned sense. It'd used to be that you'd change a couple filters, plugs/cap/rotor, maybe points and a valve adjustment if necessary. The service life of all those components (where still applicable) is so long that there isn't really a tune up for them. Check your owners manual. There's a time and mileage schedule to follow to keep your car in top shape. Very little reason to deviate from that besides the rare case something breaks or fails.
