I have been quote $800 to replace a/c compressor. Is this a good price? I check fuses, could ther be another cause for "no cool". Thanks

https://repairpal.com/estimator/volkswagen/beetle Check the Estimator link I just provided. You'll find that $800 is actually quite inexpensive compared to what we've found. You may actually be cautious as it may be too low. HOWEVER - there are many causes for "no cool". A proper diagnosis is in order to find out what exactly is going on. A cycle switch for less than a couple hundred dollars for diagnosis and repair could be all you need. Good luck, -Dave
I think $800.00 for a compressor is low even with a rebuilt compressor. There are many thing that can cause no cold air.
