I went to Singers and the guy said the thing he hooked up to the car said it was reading there was a vacuum leak or the vacuum hose is not on very well. He checked but he couldn't find any leaks or loose hoses.

Hello, I may have already been in contact with you about this, but a vacuum leak can be detected very easily by smoke testing. You can even do it at home if you are so inclined. If you send the actual trouble codes (format = P1234) and which engine you have I can see if those pertain to the evaporative emissions system or the engine.
