Beetle wont turnover

What is your question?

Transmission was slipping over a 2 day period so i changed the transmission fuel and now the beetle wont turnover. checks have revealed the solonoid is not getting power when i turn the key, the foot brake symbol on the gear changer goes off once the switch is engaged and there is a tap like a breaker under the gear shift console which i hadnt recognise before. Any suggestions?

This happened to me, and it was my crank sensor. It will try to start and not ever turn over. But i would wait a couple hours and it would finally start again. After a while it wont ever start up again unless you get the sensor fixed. $360
