I have a 2011 Toyota Yaris with a manual transmission.

When I first drive the car in the morning (after the car has been sitting for around 8 hours) it shifts into 1st gear violently unless I shift at high RPMs. After about 10 minutes the issue goes away and doesn't come back (when I park it for 4 hours and then drive it it's fine) until the car has been sitting for a long period of time again. Also, I notice that if I engage the clutch repeatedly in the morning for about 5 minutes the issue is less severe. The issue has been going on for about 4 years and nothing else has come of it. There are no other shifting issues. I haven't done anything about the issue. Could the clutch fluid need to be replaced?
