What is your question?
1 week after rear strut replacement my car started to make squeaking noise. It is coming from rear strut lower spring insulator and spring. The repair shop reused strut lower insulator and I can see it has damage and some part are broken off. Therefore are a part of spring touching directly to the metal part because insulator rubber is broken off. This causes the sqweking noise? If so, how easy to replace it to new insulator? They have to take the whole thing a part again? I was advised by the shop to spray with silicone spray. It did went away but comes back shortly after. I feel that is only a temporary solution.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Uneven road. Sqweak from strut (lower insulator and spring )
How long has your 2011 Toyota Venza had this problem?
1 week after rear strut replacement. And they did reuse lower insulator. Is this the cause of the noise? If so, how easy to replace it to the new lower insulator?
