rear axle seal

What is your question?

2011 Toyota Venza 4 cyl Told by the shop a couple days ago that the right rear axle seal is leaking and to have it replaced when they replace the rear brake pads and rotors (3mm left). The same shop replaced the right rear differential output seal (due to leaking) about a year ago. Are these leaky seals the same thing?

What makes this problem better or worse?

no noticeable noises or vibrations from the seal (other than the squealing brakes)

How long has your 2011 Toyota Venza had this problem?
