I replaced the back up camera on my 2012 Toyota Tundra and it still does not work. Do I need to sync the new camera with the internal computer in the truck? Any suggestions on what to do? thanks

A few weeks ago the backup camera picture in the rear view mirror stopped working. I replaced the back up camera (based on what the Toyota repair shop said). When I put the truck in reverse, the backup picture flashes on the mirror for a nanosecond and goes away. Is there a reset step? Thanks for your help.

What makes this problem better or worse?

I put the truck in reverse and the pic flashes in the rear view mirror, then blanks out.
