My tundra ac is working but it only blows through the defrost vents. The main vent of the vents that faces the passengers blows out nothing. The speed of the ac works. The heat also works. I check my cabin filter, replace the ac control knob or panel and still nothing works. when changing from ac blowing to the face and leg to defrost u can here it switch but no ac comes out of the front vents. Also when turning on the truck and turning on the ac unit it takes about 30-45 seconds for the ac unit to start running. Also after turning off the ac u it and car I can here a cranking sound under neath the dashboard. Please help thnx

How long has your 2007 Toyota Tundra had this problem?
Since I bought it from the old owner like 4/5 years ago

Although I could not find it in the shop manual as I explored it briefly, there is a motor that controls the selection of where the air is distributed, typically called a mode door actuator. This motor could be failing - stripped internally, as you are hearing a noise when it should be doing it's job. Or, the part of the plenum where the doors are located could be damaged as well, physically preventing proper movement of the doors. Inspection first hand is needed.
My 2007 tundra is doing the same thing. I went and got an estimate. It’s around $900. The actuator door is about $150 part but they have to remove the whole dash to get to where they have to get to therefore pushing the price up to 900. I bought a little dash fan.
