Problem with t/s

I wonder if some detailing chemical has caused a short in the turn signal switch on the steering column, it may "dry out", if not you may have to to remove the steering wheel cowling/plastic trims and disconnect the wires at the turn signal switch, if the turn signals then stop blinking it shows the turn signal switch has shorted. CRC make an electrical contact cleaner that leaves no residue and is not flammable, the cleaner can be sprayed into the switch to try to clean it. The CRC product is made to clean mass air flow meters and is available at any auto parts store.
