01toyota tundra 4.7. Where is it located

Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. Thank you for reaching out! On this model Toyota Tundra with the 4.7 liter engine, it appears the idle air control valve (IAC) has been replaced with an electronic throttle motor which is built in and part of the entire throttle body. The older models and smaller engines for this vehicle still contact the IAC but on this model it has been replaced with the electronic throttle body control assembly itself, all in one, part of the throttle body itself. If you are experiencing some idle fluctuations or concerns in many cases this can be due to carbon build up inside the throttle body to where at an idle air is not able to pass through properly. In most cases you can take a shop rag and spray it down with some carburetor cleaner or similar and then use that rag to wipe out the throttle body bore and bore plate carefully, ensuring to not spray the cleaner into the throttle body itself. If this is or was attempted and the concern continues I recommend allowing an experienced trusted shop look into this concern to allow them to pinpoint and resolve the problem as this in many cases will result with the vehicle operating properly afterwards.
