What is your question?
Truck turns over normally, revs up to about 1500-2000 RPMs on start up as normal, but then RPMs drop below 500 and it sputters out. Doesn’t happen every time, usually am able to start up normally in the morning. Seems to happen more if the engine is still hot. Doesn’t stall if it starts up and stays on, runs & drives normally when it stays on. When it first started to happen, taking the air filter out would get it to stay running but not anymore. I have: - replaced MAF - cleaned wire connectors - cleaned throttle body (helped for about a week) - replaced air filter - codes found: p0102 & p0113 - check engine and trac off lights on (new) When working on vehicle, noticed some of the plastic tubing around some wiring had become brittle and fell apart. Took it to dealership service twice for a week each and they couldn’t get it to recreate and couldn’t find the problem.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse after first drive of the day
How long has your 2012 Toyota Tacoma had this problem?
Couple months

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. P0102 and P0113 are clues for you. If the vehicle struggles to stay running when warm, it's because the engine processor is relying on data to get the air and fuel mixture right -- and something isn't sending proper information. Here is a link to some info about P0102: https://repairpal.com/obd-ii-code-p0102 And here is a link for P0113: https://repairpal.com/obd-ii-code-p0113 It would seem you are on the right track when it comes to the air intake system being in question. But, testing will be needed to figure out if a component needs replaced or a circuit needs to be repaired.
