Airbag light stays on. Was told this was a recall ? Just bought the car.

Hello, I am not aware of any recall which is some thing that will repair a check airbag light. Sometimes the airbag inflator's are a concern with certain airbags over the years. But these will never set a warning light on. As with anything, diagnostic testing is required before you do anything. If you go to a dealership, you can have them test it, and if there is something that will cover your repairs, they will do it for you at no charge. However, if there is something wrong that is not covered by anything, the expense of repairs will be up to you, as well as the diagnostic charge.
