What is your question?
Again my engine light came on,could not found a vapor leak, then says the cats are bad again. I have a hard time believing 3 cats went bad in about 1 and 1/2 yrs. I know something is wrong with emission. BUT WHAT. I just change the plugs, they had about 26,000 miles on then,I kept up on maintence. A few plugs were dirty, the truck have 116,ooo miles on it. The next time the light comes on,the shop will kept it for a few days, try to fine the problem. The cats are walker ome,5 yrs warrenty,it will not cost me anything for replace of the cats. And i am having a hard time believing that the problem is,that i must put on toyota cats to solve the problem per, dealership says!! Please any help would be great,

your problem is the walker converters. they do not have enough precious metals in them to do the job. that is why they are cheap and the factory ones are around 800-1000. there is a company called bosal that makes aftermarkets with a warranty that the light will not comes on but they are just about the same price as factory. in this market of converters, you get what you pay for and the consumer is stuck with this nightmare. you may have to pay the difference between what you paid to the real converter but take it up with your shop. we refuse to use anything but oem or bosal. you are from Phila. as am I. there is a parts house called town and Country that can assist you in this. Give them a call. Roy
Toyota O2 sensors are matched to the Toyota converters and unfortunately aftermarket non-OEM converters just can't pull enough CO out to satisfy the Toyota sensors. Sorry, but dealer is probably right. You may want to try salvage yards for used otherwise you are looking at $1040 just for converter.
it is against the law for a salvage yard to sell a used converter. be carefull, not much choice here. Roy
