Both tail lights went out at same time. How do I get them working again?

Unusual both went out at the same time. Drop the tailgate and remove the rear tail light assembles look at the bulbs they are simple to replace. If the filament in the bulb is bad you will see the filament wire broken or the bulb discolored. After that check for 12 volts at the wire going to the taillight bulb socket (tun lights on only one wire back there will be live).
