Truck doesn't want to start after stopping Expressway travel.

High mileage truck runs great, 30mpg highway, has 230,000 on odo. When traveling cross country, truck doesn't want to start after stopping for gas. Starter turns over fine, it just doesn't fire up right away like it does when used in the city. Plugs and wires are replaced. Cap, rotor, and fuel filter are next. Is there anything else I should look for that would cause this condition? Thanks
