Radio display doesn't light up

What is your question?

My OEM radio works great during the day but when I turn on the headlights the digital display won't light up. Is there a loose connection, a burnt out bulb, or short that can be replaced to fix this, or would it better to just get a new radio?

Many companies repair OE radios keeping the car original, no wiring modifications ect... Google OE stereo repair or check this site http://www.carstereohelp.com/strtoyota.htm

I work at Kia and I have seen this twice. There is a relay you need, see your nearest dealer.
