My key suddenly stopped turning in the ignition with no prior odd behavior. It will almost go into the ACC position, not enough to allow windows to open/close but enough to start door warning bell. Have jiggled the heck out of the steering wheel and pushed the transmission interlock override without sign of improvement or involvement in the issue. What to try from here. I am disabled and poor, but a decent DIY tech if working with detailed instructions... a DIY fix is my only hope.

I would try to get a good copy of your key made, first and foremost. I drive a 1998 Camry and I my key is getting worn and sometimes it will not turn, but when I use the original factory key it works great, so I went to Ace Hardware and had a copy made for $4.00
