What is your question?
Car is running but will not accelerate past 4000 rpm. Wanted to see if someone could shed some light on this. The repair shop we took it to says its the transmission but want a second opinion? Thanks in advance

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your 2011 Sienna won’t rev past 4,000 RPM, it could be a transmission issue, but let's look deeper. Some Toyotas have an RPM limiter in neutral or park as a safety feature, but if this is happening while driving, it could also point to issues with the throttle body, MAF sensor, or even a clogged catalytic converter. These components restrict performance without throwing obvious codes sometimes, so it’s worth checking them out before going for a costly transmission repair.
