2007 Toyota Sienna, the a/c usually blows cool air but off and on with no notice it will blow hot air. I just replaced the battery

Last Sunday we drove to Santa Monica pier from Northridge. The a/c worked on the way to Santa Monica. But on way back the a/c only blew hot air. Now in city it blows cool air. Today my car would not start I replaced battery. Would the low battery cause the a/c to blow hot air?
