IS THERE A WAY TO STOP SQUEAKING IN STEERING WHEEL OF A 2006 SIENNA? THE PROBLEM IS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE IN COLD WEATHER.

I usually just spray some WD-40 up under the steering wheel in the area that is squeaking. It won't hurt anything, and it often works quite well.
There is a product called white lithium grease. Works very well last a long time too. But is the squeaky noise inside for sure or could it be on the outside?
The noise your hearing could be from the clock spring. That's the electrical component that allows air bag and radio/cruise control funtions in a rotating component. Be very careful with trying to lubricate the wheel with any type of spray. Remember this is the airbag module.
IT IS ON THE INSIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL.
There are some joints under the dash panel on the steering shaft they can squeak but if it sounds like it is literally in the steering wheel it could be a clock spring. Would not know until we looked at it for sure. But you can not lube them. Feel free to give us a call.919-730-9105
