Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. The Toyota Sienna from 2006 with the 3.3 liter engine is actually an interference engine. If the timing belt breaks or fails this can cause the pistons to come up and smack the valves which in turn can bend or break valves and in some cases cause piston damage.
