What is your question?
Van is running fine, but recently shut off while exiting highway. Once stopped, put in park and started right up. Checked for codes with none thrown. No rough idling or sputtering beforehand, it just shut off.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Occured when slowing to exit highway after trip of around 20 miles.
How long has your 2000 Toyota Sienna had this problem?
Once a few days ago with no complete shutdown. Again yesterday with shutdown

Hi! This is Bo with Car Genius at RepairPal! Whoa! That's scary and unsafe! The fact that it shuts off while driving could be caused by various factors, including a failing fuel pump, ignition system issue, or even a problem with the engine's sensors. Since no codes were thrown and it sounds like an intermittent issue, it most likely is not an emissions related issue as it would trigger the check engine light. My first thought was a worn ignition. I've seen this before in Toyotas. The key becomes worn or the electronic portion of the ignition fails and the car shuts off. It's such a weird one though it may be best to have a shop check it out.
