Alarm system goes off if it rains for a period of time, why and what can i do?

Found online: Check or unplug the door,trunk and hood sensors. That's the only thing that sets them off. There may be sensors getting wet from a water leak setting off the alarm. Inspect the sensors and see if getting wet. Can unplug one at a time and see which one could be causing it.
