Remote Control Problem and interior light problem

What is your question?

Why doesn't my remote control working after replacing car battery? Also, my interior lights don't come on and after turning the ignition off and closing the door, the head light flashes several time by itself and I think this is draining my battery power. Please help.

Question, is the alarm on your van original from toyota or aftermarket replacement? Its highly possible when the battery was installed the main power wire to the alarm was left off.
