Was told my vehicle is up for a brake fluid flush. What benefit is it to have this process done when there hasn't been any issues with the brakes?
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Replacing your brake fluid is essential every 2 to 3 years. You must do this. Brake fluid by nature is hydroscopic – meaning that it attracts moisture even just not doing anything. Any moisture in the atmosphere is attracted to your brake fluid naturally. If you leave it without flushing or exchanging the fluid, you allow the moisture to become part of the brake system. In time that becomes worse and worse causing corrosion and poor braking performance.
