What is your question?
I just got my car serviced. They changed the cabin air filter, changed spark plugs, changed oil, added steering fluid, did a deep clean on my fuel system, aligned my wheels and filled my tires with air. I got my car back the same day 2 weeks ago and noticed that my MPG is low. It's at 21 mpg and online it says that I'm supposed to be getting 23 city and 30 highway. I drive mostly in the city but have to drive on the highway for like 15 mins to get to my job. I drive very smoothly and don't brake hard. Also when I fill up for gas I'm only getting 300 miles on one fill up and I have a 15.9 gallon tank. Shouldn't I be getting over 330 miles on one fill up? I REALLY don't want to go back to the shop but want to know what's happening. My car is a 2018 Toyota RAV 4 LE with FWD
How long has your 2018 Toyota RAV4 had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Fuel economy experienced versus expected is always quite a difficult topic to address. The first thing I will say is that if you have no warning lights such as a check engine light coming on, there's probably nothing at all you can do to make it better as far as tweaking or tuning the vehicle goes. It is what it is. The next thing is we need to look at driving behavior, and we need to look at how you are measuring fuel economy. Do not use the onboard "trip computer" to determine what your mileage fuel economy actually is. Do it the old fashion way: fill up your fuel until the nozzle clicks at a trusted pump near you. Verify miles at the time of filling. Drive the vehicle until maybe half tank. Go back to the same pump at the same station. Fill again until it clicks. Take that mileage divided by the fuel pumped and that's your rough fuel economy reading. Even if your vehicle is rated to get 23 city and 30 highway, that is under extremely controlled circumstances that the federal government tests. It would not surprise me that you would be at 21 especially if you are using your vehicle on city streets primarily. The maintenance you have performed on your vehicle is probably necessary and beneficial to your vehicle regardless. But don't expect it to make a major fuel economy change. That is something that is unlikely no matter what.
