It won't start

I had to use the physical key in the key fob to open the door. I've checked the batteries-good, brand new battery in vehicle. No lights or anything comes on.

Hello, if there is no electrical power and you've verified the batteries are "new" and "good", something doesn't check out here. Check wiring and cable connections.
