How do I turn off 'error' on the driver display screen?

Just happened on 03/29/2021. The little display screen that the driver sees that shows what the temperature is outside, what gear you are in, what radio station you are listening to etc popped up the word 'error' that was flashing on/off when I was listening to XM. The word 'error' still appears even after XM refresh my signal. I checked other audio options (FM, AM radio) which DID NOT correct the problem. My Rav4 is a 2017 with under 35K miles on it. Aside from this, everything is working fine on the bigger screen to the right of the steering wheel. The dealership suggested to unplug the engine battery. I haven't done that yet. Can you advise how to correct this? Make it go away?

Hello, you'll need to find out which function is causing the "error" message. That display should allow you to select multiple items to review, right? Does nothing at all work, no efforts to change any screens / menus?
Sure, you could try to reset the battery - disconnect the negative cable for 15 minute and reconnect -- but I'd think there' a root cause that needs to be figured out, which could require some hands on testing by a technician with a diagnostic tool.
