What is your question?
My RAV 4 is stuck in 4WD. I never even pressed the button, but the button will also not work to disengage it. TRAC OFF, VCS, 4WD dash lights are all on but not blinking. I just got it back from the shop and when I first started it, didnt turn on but did when I stopped at the gas station. turning car off/on and going over 25mph also doesn't disengage it. I know the 4WD is actually on and not just the light is on bc I can feel it, hear it, and the Automatic Transmission Oil Temp Light has come on a couple times and my car won't start or if it's on feels like it's going to die. I'm well aware it's not good to drive with your 4WD on when not needed, but I had to a couple times when this first started happening. Any advice would be appreciated 😩

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your RAV4. If your 4WD lock feature is engaged and can't be turned off, there may be a fault in the control system or a physical part failure in the drivetrain. If this happened immediately after service, it may be a good idea to call the shop and have them take a look. I’d recommend getting it checked as soon as possible to avoid further damage. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
