What is your question?
Under my hood, when looking at the engine compartment from above, I am seeing a broken off, almost cylindrical or L shaped piece of metal that appears to be a heat shield resting on the frame of my car right behind my cooling fan. It appears to fit a small cylindrical part just below my o2 sensor under my engine. Is this a heat shield for a catalytic converter? If so, is it a cheap and easy replacement? Im worried its going to hit my cooling fan and destroy it, or worse, melt wires or hoses! Any guidance is appreciated.. I'm NOT a car guru lol. Thanks!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Neither. It rattles over bumps.
How long has your 2010 Toyota RAV4 had this problem?
About a month or two the sound has gotten louder

Hello, seek a local shop near you for some help. My guess is that the existing part, if it is a heat shield, can be fastened with clamps without needing to be replaced. If it is a different component, then they can provide guidance there also. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
