What is your question?
I replaced an old battery in my Rav4. Put my key in, power to all the lights, bells, and whistles. Turn the key and everything dies. In about 10 seconds, all power is back to the lights, etc. My truck takes a 24F battery but I replaced it with group 35. Its what I could afford right now.
How long has your 2008 Toyota RAV4 had this problem?
More than a week

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Group 24F and group 35 battery would be identical costs, frankly, depending where you buy your battery. I know I sell both for the same price at my dealership. Get the correct battery, first. I'm not sure that has anything to do with what's wrong with your RAV4. When you say "everything dies" do you mean the engine starts but dies in 10 seconds? Or that the electrical power goes away before you start your vehicle successfully? If the electrical power dies, then yes - get the right battery, and ensure the cable connections are clean and fully secure as designed. If the engine stalls, there's something else going on here that needs diagnostic testing to resolve. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
