What is your question?
If one or both head gaskets are blown, can they be repaired or is it better to get a replacement engine? A mechanic is saying that the damaged head gasket or set of head gaskets is causing high pressure to be built up in the system.
How long has your 2007 Toyota RAV4 had this problem?

Hello, for a V6 engine, if equipped, depending on the severity of the internal engine coolant leak (which is somewhat unlikely, honestly, but your question is not about diagnosis, it's about repair direction, so I'll let that go) - and intermix of coolant with the engine oil, it may be perfectly fine to repair the current engine instead of replacing with one of an unknown background. What if you're replacing a challenged engine with another challenged one? It's too hard to know until you tear down the engine what the best decision is for repair.
