$1000 is what the dealer charged me. The important thing is why did it fail? I was advised that a common reason is topping up the tank. The cannister is meant to deal with fumes - not liquid. When liquid flows down the overflow tube, it ruins the cannister. So when the nozzle clicks off - don't try to add anymore fuel.
