Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. "Was told" is a troubling start to your question. When you were "told" was the car evaluated first by a trusted technician - or is it more advice when not evaluating your vehicle? I don't understand why a sway bar would need to be replaced unless it's fractured. That would require an inspection and would probably be somewhat unusual. Sway bar links are more likely to be detached or have worn bushings. Determining this concern requires a physical inspection and evaluation of your vehicle. I would definitely recommend a good inspection of your vehicle to find out what's going on first hand. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
