99 Rav4 wouldn't start & after push starting it the idle was high. Repairs?

What is your question?

Do I need to make any repairs to make sure we won't be stranded in the future? 99 Rav4 won't start so we push started it & the idle was real high. Then turned off & it starts regular again. We think gas line was not right & fixed itself. Looking for information to know what to do.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Slack in gas line seemed to fix itself.
