Donna, Most bulbs are accessed from the back side of the light housing, so in this case it will be from inside the rear hatch area. You may have to remove some interior carpeting or covers. I haven't had one of these apart, so I don't know if this is going to work, but give it a shot. I would also try the owners manual, it might have some info too.

There are screws when you open the rear hatch. IIRC, there is one on the side that will let you take off the exterior panel below the tail lamp, and there is a screw to told the housing to the rest of the body. The whole unit comes out and you can change the bulbs from there. Ton ones on the side that the hatch hinges on is a tight fit.
