Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Prius. The P0A80 "Replace Hybrid Battery Pack" code sets when the battery cells become weak or imbalanced. While it isn't typical for an accident to cause this code, it may have physically damaged the high voltage battery pack which could have affected its ability to keep the cells charged. With 230k miles, battery degradation isn't abnormal, and once some cells weaken, others can follow.
