My 2008 toyota prius electronic smell from hybrid battery then went dead on me.

I stopped at Walmart turn my air conditioning and everything. At first and I see the red triangle of death so I drove a little bit. Then parking. I smell a funny electronic smell from the Hybrid battery and then the car just went dead on me! I don't know what's going on any expert can you tell me please decide telling me that I'm going to go to my local repair which I am going to do on Monday because right now so Friday very bad so please kindly help me and give me good advice thank you
Generally speaking, your hybrid battery is very unlikely to vent or gas any odors.
Wiring, if overheating, or shorted could cause an odor.
The 12 volt engine battery could also cause a "rotten egg" odor from sulfuric acid gassing.
