Fuel gauge, when tank is full, moves down to empty, bip by bip

Hello, fuel gauges receiving their readings from a fuel sending unit in the fuel tank. This sending unit will raise and lower depending on fuel level. As a result, this potentiometer varies voltage returned in a wire to the sending unit, causing the gauge to respond accordingly. If the gauge is unstable or inaccurate, you either have a sending unit issue, a wiring issue, a connector issue or a gauge issue. Hands on testing is needed to find out what's going on.
