Hello, pressing on the brakes very hard to stop is because the engine was not running, regenerative braking was not happening, and no power assist either. If the engine will not restart, there must be a loss of fuel or spark. The hybrid system will not alone operate the vehicle without proper engine operation. Testing will be needed hands on to determine what has happened.
