Driving for twenty minutes or so I have to pull over and open the bleeder valve to release the pressure in my brakes . I have to do that alot or the brakes will heat up and stop the van.
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I release the pressure from the bleader valve it seems to make better for a few

Sounds like a problem with anti-lock brakes. You can relieve the pressure momentarily but it will keep going due to the function of the anti-lock system.
