speedometer not working

Replaced speedometer sensor for my 1994 Toyota Pkup 4 ad manual but only speedometer doesn't work. Could it be my speedometer gear?

what was not working to make you change the sensor? you might not have put the sensor back in properly. the speed sensor should have a gear on the end that goes back in the trans.. it has to sit on the the gear right or it wont work.
