best answer is to "carefully" twist it loose then pull from BOOT NOT WIRE ! also you can get "anti-seize" from auto parts when re-installing to avoid this "freezing-up" and if it's "really" tight, use needle-nose pliers to pry between the bottom of the boot and the engine. or a really fat regular screwdirever can also do the trick, just insert between boot and block, and twist handle to "open the gap" then pull off holding the boot, NOT the wire. (unless you want to replace the wires set)
