remove the starter

Disconnect the battery the starter is on the driver's side of the engine/transmission, takes about .8 hour to remove and refit. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info To replace the starter contacts and plunger remove the 3 x 8mm bolts on the solenoid cover with draw the plunger and make sure after replacing the contacts the insulators are installed exactly as they were prior to disassemble.
