I've changed cap rotor new plugs wires... Not sure why it would start back firing?? It has been sitting for 6 months prior to that I drove my pickup no problem... No back fire.. any help would greatly appreciated..
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I start it press the gas pedal it starts to back fire

Check engine timing. Check for exhaust leaks from the engine on back. Check for air intake leaks, check for crankcase ventilation - PCV valve and related components. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
