Ignition Lock Cylinder will not turn...

What is your question?

The ignition lock cylinder in her MR2 will not turn most times. It's a manual so it's not a transmission shifter issue and the steering where isn't bound up. I know that those are 2 pretty common problems. If I have to replace the lock cylinder is there any tricks to making it easier?

i had an issue like this, and was ready to buy another cylinder. my last try was a silicone based lubricante to my suprize it worked. i sprayed it in the key hole with the straw that comes with it, and also on the key itself so that is would get in there real good. that was about 3 yrs ago has been working since. 91 n/a
