i have a 1990 toyota mr2.ive notice two battery lights on the dash a red and orange.when i start the car the orange light stays on.the battery voltage indicator needle shows a bit over the half way mark however everythings working ok the dash lights,head & indicator lights all work fine.any idea what this colud be id greatly appreciate your feedback.thanks in advance.
What makes this problem better or worse?
the car still runs fine for now.

Typically battery lights indicate charging rather than actual battery condition. First thing you want to do is just get a simple meter on your battery while the car is running. It should read about 13.8-14.3 volts. If much lower you could have an alternator issue. If everything is fine it may be an issue with the acutal indicator giving you a false reading.
