The problem occurred after a mouse chewed a hole through max air dam above the filter area and it was necessary to remove dash area to find dead rodent.
In the end the blower case assembly and evaporator core were replaced.
The stereo was taken out and put back. We have checked fuses-called Sirius-
And taken radio out --- only loose cable had blue connector unplugged had blue end and wouldn't fit in connection that's was open. The repair work was done by mechanic. We will be taking it back tomorrow but would love to find quicker fix!

Hello, any time there is rodent intrusion, it seems reasonable to expect concealed wiring damage still exists somewhere.
Beyond that, your connector concern sounds suspect as well. Hands on testing is needed, and it sounds like that is your plan. Good luck!
