I think the 4WD & brake warning lights always come on with Check Hybrid System light. My initial guess is you may need a new battery (regular or hybrid). I would take to a shop with hybrid experience or Toyota Dealer.
I have a 2008, highlander hybrid with 127,000 kl. aprox 80,000 miles. My lights for the hybrid system and abs brakes started coming on. I would shut the car off and all would be well. But it started to get worse and I took into Toyota who checked the codes and nothing showed. After driving away they came on within 5 min. As the dealership is an hour away I didn't get back but the lights started to stay on regardless of whT I would do. Then it started to get weird. I would start the car, the engine would kick in and then out at no reason and the power started to deteriate. Even though the gauge showed lots of battery power and it got to the point of being dangerous and not drivable. I had it towed to Toyota an they have had it for a week and can't figure it out. They sent a test case to Toyota. Be careful as it became dangerous to deive a the engine would shut down on the highway and loose power! Ps I have driven ii since new so I know what to expect from the car.
